Island Pond Christmas Bird Count

Have you been looking for a way to get out and enjoy the winter days honing your bird-watching (and listening) skills? Join in the 125th Audubon Christmas Bird Count! This massive and long-running citizen science event is held every year throughout North America and provides important data on bird populations. This year's Island Pond CBC will be held on Thursday, December 19. Storm date is the 20th. All Persons Trail Opening

Join us February 1 from 10-2 at the NorthWoods Lodge for the official winter opening of our All Persons Trail! We will celebrate the completion of the trail, get a chance to explore it on skis or snowshoes, then return to the lodge to warm up body and spirit with a lunch of delicious soup and live music by traditional family band Jeanne and Sons on fiddle, guitar, banjo and bass! 11am - Garland cutting & opening of the trail 11-12 - Ski/snowshoe. Valentine’s Day Candlelit Snowshoe

Friday, February 14th Session 1: 5:30-6:30, Session 2: 6:30-7:30  (Enjoy the trails and the lodge for as long as you like!) $20/single or $30/pair  Join us for a beautiful evening snowshoe through the candlelit forest with your sweetheart, friends or family, then cozy up to a warm fire with some hot chocolate and finger food to listen to live music by Ben Kinsley on classical guitar! Outreach Events and Workshops Cancellation Policy: Unless otherwise noted, 50% refunds will be provided for cancellations made at least a week before workshop start date. No refunds for reservations cancelled less than seven days before the workshop start date. Workshop dates and venues are subject to change. NorthWoods Stewardship Center reserves the right to cancel a program at any time, in which case NorthWoods will notify registrants via email and a full refund will be provided.
