The “Inspiration of Trees” exhibit opens July 5th with an opening from 5-7pm at the Memphremagog Arts Collaborative in Newport. The event, in collaboration with the Northwoods Stewardship Center, will include all mediums that use wood or are inspired by trees, and will include the work of NorthWoods staff members. Bald Mountain Volunteer Carry

Before the 35th Anniversary Party at the NorthWoods Lodge on Saturday, August 24th, we'll be hosting an optional volunteer hike up Bald Mountain. Join us, alongside the VT Forest Parks & Recreation and the Green Mountain Club on Saturday morning at 10am to help us carry oak boards up Bald Mountain to replace the existing fire tower steps. Have you been looking for a way to get out and enjoy the winter days honing your bird-watching (and listening) skills? Join in the 125th Audubon Christmas Bird Count! This massive and long-running citizen science event is held every year throughout North America and provides important data on bird populations. Soap Making Workshop

Sunday, February 23, 2025, 1pm-3pm at the NorthWoods Lodge Make bar soap in the same method that’s been used for hundreds of years in this 2 hour workshop.
