Woods & Waters Day Camp

NorthWoods Stewardship Center 154 Leadership Drive, East Charleston

August 5-9 Ages: 6 – 14 Join us for the quintessential NorthWoods Experience! Centered around scientific exploration and outdoor skills, in this camp we’ll explore the Clyde River ecosystem, swim daily in local waterbodies, hike a nearby peak, practice survival skills and attempt to build a boat made of cardboard & duct tape. Daily themes include Swimming, Paddling, Wildlife Exploration, and Backcountry Basics. Camp ends with a boat race on the pond with the camp-made boats! Day camp. Drop-off/Pick-up: Monday-Friday, 9am to 4pm Cost: $400 Register

Climate Resilience in Her Forest

NorthWoods Stewardship Center 154 Leadership Drive, East Charleston

Did you know that women statistically show greater interest in addressing climate change than men? This means that women landowners are more likely to focus their land management goals on reducing the effects of climate change. Join WOW-VT (Women and our Woods Vermont) and Northwoods Stewardship Center to discuss techniques for developing climate resilience in your woodlands that you can use directly in your forest management plans all while learning with other women landowners and woodland enthusiasts. Outreach Events and Workshops Cancellation Policy: Unless otherwise noted, 50% refunds will be provided for cancellations made at least a week before workshop start date. No refunds for reservations cancelled less than seven days before the workshop start date. Workshop dates and venues are subject to change. NorthWoods Stewardship Center reserves the right to cancel a program at any time, in which case NorthWoods will notify registrants via email and a full refund will be provided.
