On Saturday, February 22, NorthWoods welcomed members of the community to celebrate the winter opening of our All Persons Trail (APT). With trail construction concluded in the fall and signage put in place this winter, we were excited to officially open the trail – a big step towards making our campus more welcoming and accessible for everyone!
A huge thank you to our many gracious funders for prioritizing this work, to ReCon Trail Design for making the trail a reality, and to Adaptive Sports Partners for supporting this event and inviting some friends to come try out the new trail with their winter mobility devices!
It was great to see the APT busy with folks on sleds, snowshoes, seated skis and nordic skis – all enjoying a beautiful sunny day on the trail.
