Educators, join us for a day of Project Learning Tree with Rebecca Roy, Parks Interpretive Program Manager of VT Department of Forests, Parks & Recreation.
“If you’re an educator looking to integrate environmental education into your curriculum and become comfortable teaching outdoors—in urban, suburban, and rural environments, then Project Learning Tree (PLT) instructional materials may be the resource you’re searching for. More than half a million educators have attended a PLT workshop since the program began in 1976.
PLT’s professional development workshops train educators:
- In environmental education
- How best to use PLT curriculum materials and incorporate PLT activities into your current and future lesson plans and programming.
- How to engage with and draw upon their community in learning about and taking action to address local environmental issues
In this highly active, hands-on session, participants will receive their own PLT guide and experience and model several PLT activities.”
