On March 21, the NorthWoods Stewardship Center, in partnership with the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Conservation Group and the Vermont Big Game and Trophy Club held its 3rd Shed Meet and Wild Game Chili Dinner. A small but enthusiastic group of shed antler hunters gathered at the Center to share their finds and stories, homemade moose chili, and to have their antlers scored. At the 2011 Shed meet the Vermont Big Game and Trophy Club announced the addition of a shed class to their record keeping, using the Boon and Crocket scoring method. Shed hunter Andrew J Bonanno brought in a large moose shed from Addison County that his friend Patrick Weise had found, which proved to be the second highest scoring moose antler shed in Vermont to date (see picture).
